Cookie Policy

Information about the cookies used on Globotaxia and how to manage your preferences.

Effective date: 1 January 2024  |  Last updated: 1 January 2024

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Globotaxia ("we," "our," "us") uses them on the website globotaxia.com (the "Site"), and what choices you have regarding cookies. Please read this policy alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) by a website when you visit it. Cookies serve many functions — they can remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and help website operators understand how their site is being used.

Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website operator are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies may be placed by embedded content or services on the page.

2. How We Use Cookies

Globotaxia uses a minimal set of cookies consistent with our commitment to user privacy. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or cookies that build profiles of your behaviour for commercial purposes.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Cookie Name Type Purpose Duration Party
cookie_consent Functional Stores your cookie consent choice (accepted/declined) so you are not shown the banner on every visit 12 months First-party
Session storage Strictly necessary Temporary browser session data required for the Site to function (e.g. form state). Cleared when you close your browser. Session only First-party
CDN / Font / Icon assets Technical Loading resources (Phosphor Icons, Google Fonts) from third-party CDNs may result in your IP address being logged by those providers as part of normal web infrastructure operations Varies Third-party

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They do not collect personal information that could be used for marketing or to track your browsing activity outside of the Site. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without affecting the basic functionality of the Site. They do not require your consent under most privacy regulations.

3.2 Functional Cookies

Functional cookies enable the Site to remember choices you make — specifically your cookie consent preference — to provide a better and more personalised experience. We use one functional cookie: cookie_consent, which records whether you have accepted or declined cookies so the consent banner does not appear on every page.

3.3 Analytics Cookies

At the time of writing, Globotaxia does not deploy analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Matomo, or any similar service that tracks individual user behaviour. If we introduce analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be sought before any analytics cookies are placed.

3.4 Advertising and Marketing Cookies

Globotaxia does not use any advertising or marketing cookies. We do not work with advertising networks, and we do not participate in behavioural advertising or audience profiling of any kind.

4. Third-Party Services and Embedded Content

Some pages on the Site load resources from third-party content delivery networks. When your browser requests resources from these networks, it may transmit technical information (including your IP address) to those providers as a consequence of the HTTP request — not as a result of cookies placed by us. This is standard web infrastructure behaviour.

  • Phosphor Icons: Icon fonts loaded from unpkg.com (jsDelivr infrastructure)
  • Google Fonts: Typography loaded from fonts.googleapis.com
  • Unsplash: Images served from images.unsplash.com

Each of these third parties has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their policies if you have concerns about data transmitted through CDN requests.

5. Your Cookie Choices

5.1 Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit Globotaxia, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You may accept cookies (allowing functional cookies to be set) or decline them. If you decline, only strictly necessary session storage will be used and no persistent cookies will be placed by us.

5.2 Browser Settings

You can control cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies have been set
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all third-party cookies
  • Block all cookies (which may affect Site functionality)

For instructions, consult the help documentation for your browser:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

5.3 Resetting Your Consent

To reset your cookie consent choice, you can delete the cookie_consent entry from your browser's local storage (Developer Tools > Application > Local Storage), or clear all Site data for globotaxia.com in your browser privacy settings. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. As Globotaxia does not engage in cross-site tracking, the practical impact of DNT signals on our Site is minimal. We do not build tracking profiles regardless of your DNT setting.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new third-party services or change our cookie practices. Changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
